Rendezvous 2017, a transatlantic tall ships regatta with plenty to celebrate
13th Apr 2017
3rd Sep 2017
Europe and North America
Marking the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation through its founders and founding provinces, the Rendezvous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta will see tall ships from many nations come together in Europe (Royal Greenwich, England and Sines, Portugal) before cruising across the North Atlantic to meet the fleet of the 35th America’s Cup in Bermuda.
They’ll then race north, joining the fleet of TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® Atlantic Coast 2017 for a celebration in Boston. From there they’ll visit various ports across the Gulf of Saint Lawrence before coming together again for the pinnacle event in Quebec City. After Quebec, the ships will visit various ports on the route to an event in Halifax (NS) before racing across the Atlantic to Europe for the finale event which celebrates the 500th anniversary of Le Havre in France.
